Meet the Team!

We have a range of different people working on your conference to ensure you have the best time! This includes:

  • Apprenticeship experts who will answer anything and everything around apprenticeships.
  • Employers who will advise on why they value their apprentices and tell you about their own apprenticeship programmes.
  • Sutton Trust Summer School staff who are busy making arrangements for your programme to ensure you get the most out of it!
  • Team Leaders – Our Team Leaders are alumni or undergraduate students who will lead team activities, support you throughout the conference and be on hand to answer any questions throughout!
  • Night Duty staff who will be on hand and provide any support during the night.

We would also like to reassure you that all staff have been DBS-checked and trained and there is a security team available on campus at all times. Sutton Trust will also be present for the entirety of the programme and will be on hand at all times.

Travel and Arrival

You need to arrive at the University of Warwick campus for registration on Tuesday 11th July 2023 by 12:00pm. Exact location and further details will be shared with you closer to the time.

On your parent/guardian joining survey, your parent/guardian will be asked how you intend to travel to and from the Summer School (e.g., car, train or coach) so please discuss with them your intended travel arrangements.

Once they have completed this information we will share further details with both you and your parent/guardian.

On arrival, we will check bags into a cloakroom and freshen up before the welcome talk.

You will be allocated to a group and to a hall of residence, where you will be required to sign in at certain points of the day.

Catering and Accommodation

The summer school is fully catered, with breakfast and dinner served in a cafeteria; morning and afternoon refreshments provided during your breaks; and lunch served in the conference venue.

We will provide plenty of food for you at all meals, but you will not be able to visit the shop to buy any extra food so please pack any snacks that you may want to eat throughout the conference.

You will be accommodated at a residence hall at Warwick. You will have a private, single bedroom and ensuite bathroom with a shared communal space that can be mixed or single gender (depending on your preference).

Your parents/guardians may be informed of your choice by emailing [email protected].
