Helen Warrell of the Financial Times quotes our Chairman in a piece on Justine Greening’s speech to the Social Mobility Commission conference.

 

Sir Peter Lampl, founder of the social mobility charity the Sutton Trust, said Ms Greening was right to highlight the “tragic waste of talent that blights the UK”.

“Many young people from low and moderate income backgrounds lack essential life skills such as confidence, articulacy and social skills,” he said. “The state system needs to do a better job of equipping youngsters with these skills, which are essential for success in life.”
