Sutton Trust statement on the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill
17 Dec 2024
Scotland’s Commissioner for Fair Access published their first annual report this morning. In response, Conor Ryan, Director of Research at the Sutton Trust, said:
“The Commissioner is absolutely right to urge the Scottish government and universities to be bolder in driving fair access in Scotland. There has been welcome progress this year with Universities Scotland signing up to the principle a minimum threshold for places for disadvantaged students. As Peter Scott says, we need this translated into firm action by every Scottish university, backed by properly funded access places to speed up the process.”
