SUTTON TRUST RESPONDS TO UCAS FIGURES

Commenting on the latest UCAS figures, Sutton Trust CEO Dr Lee Elliot Major said:

“It is very worrying to see that university applications from the most disadvantaged young people remain low – and in the case of boys –  actually falling. It is vital that universities improve their outreach to such potential students, and that good career-focused alternatives including more advanced and higher apprenticeships are available for those who don’t want to go to university.”
